Chromecast with Google TV brings you the entertainment that you love, supporting resolution up to 4K HDR. You can get personal recommendations based on your subscriptions, viewing history and content that you own, all in one place (so no more jumping between apps to decide what to watch). Search by mood, genre, actor and more. And you can use the voice remote to ask Google to find a specific title, or control other compatible smart home devices (available separately). Chromecast works with almost any TV with an HDMI port; just plug it in, connect to Wi-Fi, and start streaming.
Super streaming
You can browse from your favourite streaming apps, so that’s more than 400,000 films and TV programmes, plus millions of songs (subscriptions may apply). Chromecast gives you fast streaming, and a crystal clear picture up to 4K HDR resolution (a 4K HDR TV is required to view content in 4K HDR). And you can add interesting-looking programmes to your watchlist, to save them and watch later.
Voice control
The dedicated Google Assistant button on the remote lets you search by voice for specific programmes, or by mood, genre, by a favourite actor, and more. Just ask Google and say “What should I watch?†(Google Assistant registration is required). Then use the remote to control volume, switch inputs, play music and get answers on the screen. And if you can’t find the remote, other Google speakers and displays let you control the TV with your voice (available separately).
Easy browsing
You don’t need to switch between apps to decide; the home screen displays films and TV programmes from all your services in one place. It can give you personal recommendations, tailored just for you. It’s easy to create children’s profiles to filter age-appropriate content and set limits on watching time, and you can view pictures from your Google Photos library on your TV too.
Control your smart devices
Control other connected devices, such as smart lights and thermostats, and view the feed from smart security cameras like the Nest Cam on your TV. You can group Chromecast with Google speakers or displays to get multi-room music through the home, and control them by voice, or through the Google Home app (available on iOS and Android). Other compatible smart devices are sold separately.
Easy to install
Just plug the Chromecast into your TV’s HDMI port, connect to Wi-Fi, download the Google Home app and start streaming. Or, for hard-to-reach spots, you can use the optional Ethernet adaptor to connect directly to your home router.
